Mendota Church Women (formerly Church Women United) will be having the Wednesday morning Lenten devotions beginning February 24th at 9:30am at First United Methodist Church. St. John's will have the devotion on March 3rd.

Zion Methodist Church is hosting the annual Men's Lenten Dinner on Thursday, March 11th at 6pm. Zion Lutheran Church is providing the program. We need at least 6 volunteers - 2 for set up, 2 for serving, and 2 for clean up. A sign-up sheet is in the Narthex.

Andrea Darveau will be going on a Mission Trip to Guatemala on her Spring Break. She asks for your prayers when she goes for this short term missionary service opportunity. For more info please see her letter on the bulletin board in the Narthex.

The L.Y.O. would like to Thank everyone who bought pizza's for our Annual superbowl Pizza sales. We will be donating half of the profit to the Haiti Relief Fund. Your support is always appreciated. St. Matthew's Lutheran Church has invited the LYO of St. John's to travel to Cincinnati, Ohio for a Service Project the week of July 4-10. Wednesday, March 3, the Luther Table Talk after worship will discuss this and other Youth Ministry options.

Hospice of the Rock River Valley has a need for volunteers to work with patients and families. Spring Volunteer Training begins Tuesday, march 9 at Hospice of the Rock River Valley, Route 2 between Dixon and Sterling. To make a difference in someone's life call Judy at 288-3673
